Mark Roberts, Worship Arts Pastor
Mark grew up in southeast Wisconsin and met his wife, Lisa, while
attending high school in Cedarburg. They have six children; three are biological and three are through
the blessing of adoption from foster care. Both Mark and Lisa welcome the opportunity to share answers to adoption
questions. You can read Lisa's blog to find out more about their adoption story.
Although Mark came to belief in Christ later in life, the incredible journey God has taken him on has made up for lost time. Mark has been a musician most of his life but just at the time he was ready to put music down for good, God got ahold of him and encouraged him to use his gifts for Him. It wasn’t long before Mark knew God wanted him to share this walk with others as a full-time ministry, so at the age of 33, he started his life over by moving his family to another state so he could attend Crown College, where he received a degree in Christian Ministries with a minor in Worship.
For Mark, worship on Sunday mornings is an honor to offer up to God, but he also loves to encourage other musicians to worship by his side and find a way to share their talents as well. Mark sees it much like the parable of the talents: he needs to take the gifts and abilities God entrusts to him and honor God by multiplying them through investing in others…”being confident of this, that He who began a good work in [Mark] will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6)
